Διαγωνισμός Nikon με θέμα “Τα Παιδιά”
-Τελευταία ημερομηνία παράδοσης φωτογραφιών: 10 Οκτωβρίου 2004
-Εκθέσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν το Νοέμβριο σε όλες τις πόλεις και
θα απονεμηθούν από τη Nikon τρία πρώτα βραβεία

Nikon Photographic Competition
“Children”
Malloupas
and Papacostas, representatives of the internationally known NIKON
photographic products, organize in collaboration with the Cyprus
Photographic Society, a unique photographic competition: ‘Children’.
All proceeds will go to the TELETHON, for the support of the muscular
dystrophy patients and the research programmes of the Institute
of Neurology and Genetics.
The
competition is open to Cypriot and foreign professional and amateur
photographers, using all types of cameras.
The
photographs should depict children in all aspects of their life:
infants, school age etc. Plain portraits should be avoided.
Participation
fee: £5. Photographers may participate in one or more of the following
categories with 1 up to 3 photographs in each category.

With digital camera (colour or B&W)
2. With analog camera (colour or B&W)
All
photographs will be judged by a special jury and the selected
ones will be exhibited in November. Dates and venues to be announced
soon. Photographs on display will be on sale and all proceeds
will go to the TELETHON.

Photographic Competition
“Children”
1.
With digital camera (colour or B&W)
2. With analog camera (colour or B&W)
Rules:
1.
Photographers may participate with up to 3 photographs for each
category
2. Dimensions: short side from 18 to 30 cm and long side from
23 to 45 cm. Photographs smaller than 30X40 cm. should be stuck
on thin hardboard 30X40 cm. Square photographs 30X30 cm are excluded.
3. A five-digit code number should appear at the back of each
photograph, together with the title and the category of the photograph.
Photographs could be presented on a CD, but actual prints are
essential.
4. All participants should complete an application form. The participant’s
details must be presented in a separate envelope bearing the code
number.
5.
The photographer should be the rightful creator of the photograph
presented. Photographs that have been: a. specially treated through
Photoshop, b. printed on colour paper from B&W negative and
c. printed on B&W paper from colour negative, are accepted
only in the first category. In the colour and B&W category
both digital and analog cameras may be used, assuming that no
technical interventions take place. This has to be declared on
the application form. Photographs printed from positive film (slides)
are accepted.
6. Participation fee: £5.
7. Last date of entry: Tuesday 10 October 2004.
8. Participations may be submitted at the Cyprus Photographic
Society’s offices in all towns and at the Megaelectric Shops,
Emilios Eliades shops and to all authorized dealers of NIKON in
all towns. The addresses appear at the back of the application
form.
9. Three prizes will be awarded: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and three honorable
mentions in each category.
10. The organizers have the right to use any of the selected photographs,
within their activities, with the obligation to mention the name
of the photographer. Participation in the competition means acceptance
of this specific rule.
11. All selected photographs will be exhibited next November and
venues and dates will be announced soon. Photographs on display
will be on sale and all proceeds will go to the TELETHON.
12. Photographs that have been awarded a prize or were exhibited
in other pancyprian competitions are not accepted.
13. The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable.
14. Participation in the competition means acceptance of all terms
and conditions and objecting to any term and condition will mean
exclusion from the competition.

The exhibition will be in November in all towns. Venues and dates
will be announced soon.
The
jury will be consist of 5 persons (2 CPS members, 1 representative
of Malloupas & Papacostas Group of Companies and one foreign
photographer who will be invited specifically for this purpose
from abroad.
The
Malloupas & Papacostas Group of Companies’ ambition is to
present a creative social and charity event with the main objective
being the financial support of the TELETHON and our compatriots
who suffer from neurological diseases.
